I would find room for the two Joel's in there somewhere - Clinton and Moon.
One did nothing but act up or get himself knocked out.
The other just did nothing.
Shane Perry won a premiership. If that's not outperforming potential I don't know what is...

The referee was Brisbane's best player in the 2006 gfPerry did have a handy role and played very well in the 2006 grand final I will admit but he wasn't that much of a player.
Hi all, long time reader and first time thread poster. Thought I better add something for posterity, haha.
After this years' Storm team being lauded as the best (post-cap rorting) team they've ever assembled, I thought it would be interesting to come up with a Melbourne Storm team of genuine plodders. The prerequisites I set for selection were a minimum of 5 games or signed to the club for minimum of two years. Jeez, there were some stinkers go through that club. And some blokes who never realised their potential for one reason or another. Kind of forgotten as a result of the long period of success post-2006, legal or otherwise. 2001-2003 a particularly plod-worthy period when you look at team lists combined with on field results.

Done for no other reason than my own curiosity, whetted the appetite to look at a few more of these "super teams" of the last couple of decades.
Cheers.
Nah. I was happy to see him have his moment in the sun. He lost more games for Melbourne than what he won for them. To his credit, he was totally clutch in 2008. Even drew a smile when Beaver scored in my corner. f**king hurt at the time. Melbourne had its GF the week before. Manly went out to play.Still butthurt that Matt Orford smashed you blokes 40 - zippo in 08? Kimmorley was there too and done far less, his career highlight was passing the ball to queersland for the win
My issue with Orford was the merkin had the long kicking game of an under 13s playerNah. I was happy to see him have his moment in the sun. He lost more games for Melbourne than what he won for them. This!!! And he was f**ked kicking on the left. Tough though. Kimmorley had the forwards. And Scott Hill.My issue with Orford was the merkin had the long kicking game of an under 13s player
I loved him, reminded me of Toovey with his pure gutsThis!!! And he was f**ked kicking on the left. Tough though. Kimmorley had the forwards. And Scott Hill.
I have always respected Manly. They don't give a f**k.

I feel like some of these Manly players were actually really solid at some stage to be considered pure plod. Sure, T-Rex is pretty bloody useless but he was a key part of a premiership drive for a little bit there.
We can get way more plod with Manly.
I've cheated a little by using some 2002 NEagles appearances for a few to get them over the 5 required, but these all pulled on the Maroon and White at least once.
