Queensland Origin v Auckland Origin

This one is from left field but what do you all think of a Queensland Origin v Auckland Origin when the NSW City v Country game is on.

To get an Auckland Origin team up and running would be a great opportunity for the NZRL and lift the profile of TGG in Auckland. This is considering all of the ex Aucklanders now playing in Australian NRL teams and the Worriers of course. I'm sure that they could field a very competitive team.

Just a thought. What do you think.

Personally, it would be better game then a North v South Island. Also adds an internationally feel to Rugby League at state/provincal level.

The NZRL wants to start their own NZ Origin series, with games between
* Northern team (everywhere north of the Bombay hills, i.e. the Auckland and Northland provinces)
* Southern team (everywhere south of the Bombay Hills i.e. the rest of the North Island AND the South Island).

That's the best idea. By having only an Auckland origin team, you're excluding the rest of the country.
