We had a bloke like you in the Knights forum - dodged very simple questions when under the pump.... he's gone now.

How many players did NSW churn through from 2006?

C'mon, for all your fans out there..... let ya fingers do the walkin'.....

Loyalty - it's the QLD way don't forget.

Back under ya rock SSS.

It's like talking to a brick wall sometimes on this forum.

Fact - QLD loyalty is a myth. They will drop anyone if it will make them better.

Ask Oates, Thaiday, Harrison and plenty more.

You can carry on with your cool stories about some guy who used to post in the Knights section and the amount of players that NSW have used, but since they're not relevant to this discussion don't expect a reply.

'Dodged questions' LOL!

There's definitely more than 1 decent player for all positions in the QLD talent pool. But it's easier for most NSW fans to expect unconditional loyalty (ie stupidity) than face the reality that QLD in most cases stay loyal to players until it becomes apparent that they're not up to it any more.

From Meninga:

"For me, we'll remain loyal as long as the players remain loyal to us and want to put in for the Queensland jersey and do the right thing."

"(With) natural attrition maybe this year we'll see a couple of new faces," he said.

"As time passes on we've got to make some tough decisions.

"At the end of the day, the players, if they're really honest with themselves and want to do the right thing by the program, they'll come to me and say maybe my time's up."

Jesus Frank, quoting the previous coach from 2 years ago. QLD has lost the last 2 games ffs, the only player who should feel remotley hard done by is Oates, the rest should have probably been given the ass a few series ago.

I'm honestly pretty nonchelant about origin these days, the effect it has on my club pisses me off to no end. NQ mean more to me than some fake ass 'current rivalry' that simply does not exist between the 2 states anymore. NQ vs Brisbane over the last 3-4 years has been far more of a contest and a rivalry than origin.

The North Queensland V Brisbane rivalry has become an awesome one and I enjoy it immensely but still nothing beats a high quality Origin battle.

You'll find I agree with the above.

QLD loyalty is quite something, pumped in game 1 and only made minor changes mainly forced via injury.

NSW could learn something from that.

Most of the changes they made were obvious ones tbf, but the oates axing is brutal and kills the QLD loyalty shit forever, he was one of their best and they dropped him quicker than ben hunt catching, stinks of panic or some kind of beef behind the scenes, either way QLD is showing massive cracks both on and off the field.

He'll be there again as a back rower. QLD have better specialist wingers like the love detective.

there is clear dissension between walters and the selectors. miles was asked at the conference about some selections and deferred the answer as "kevvie's team". the fact they aren't even sure which positions are locked in says the selectors were told to back the f**k up

looks like kevvie told miles and locky to f**k off when it came to his job being on the line. oates = manufactured winger...come on if that doesn't say "he wasn't my selection", i don't know how many more clues you need

big hit!

holmes is a better player.

selecting Oates again is like NSW selecting BMorris again when it's obvious NSW have better players to play on the wing.

besides, although Oates didn't too much wrong, he was largely nullified throughout the match by NSW tactical kicking. He couldn't help out on 2nd or 3rd tackles as a winger should.

Boyd normally runs it back for the Broncos and Oates would likely take the next carry if it's close to his side of the field. Oates can't stand up the defence on a return and he provided no challenge for NSW chase defence in Game 1. NSW also prevented any return impact Boyd could have, and any '6th' forward carries Oates could provide.

Now, QLD willll have 3 players at the back who will be effective returners. The weakness of Oates here is gone.

I'd be a whole lot more supportive if they were moved to 3 stand alone weekends with Internationals.

Imagine my disappointment when I moved to Melbourne for work this year, got Storm memberships to get my fix of footy, put a big circle around when my team the Cowboys were coming to town only to work out a few weeks back it will be a pre-origin cripple fight.
