I was just wondering what you guys thought of Todd Payten's form these last few years ? I was impressed with his attitude when he played at the Roosters and was wondering whether he's been doing as well for the Wests Tigers. Anyone care to share their thoughts ?

p.s. did you just re-sign him for another 2 years ? or is he testing the market ? Ive heard both ... so i thought id ask the people in the real know ... you guys. Cheers.

He goes OK but he thinks hes a halfback, could use hiom going forward more, but hes great in defence.

Thx for the answers guys ... i dont know why but i like the lad. As Ink says his defence is top notch. Well done on re-signing him as well ... we've lost Cayless and Crocker in our forwards and Todd would be my pick to fill the void, but its not to be.

P.s if the roosters dont make the 8 this year, i'll be jumping on the Tigers bandwagon ... gees you guys were SENSATIONAL tonight !! Congrats and best of luck

Payten has the size to be a monster!!!
He's got a lot of muscle on him, he should be a powerhouse!!!
I reckon he's just gotta give that little bit more. With those legs he should be able to power through defence. He's obviously got ball-skills, he could be fantastic if he could learn how to properly utilise his size and power!

The fact that the Roosters let him go always concerned me as they're a pretty astute bunch.

We used to be an astute bunch mate ... losing Bernie Gurr was MASSIVE !! Canavan hasnt got a clue mate, but you guys should be happy because its plainly obvious you guys have much more of a clue than us. Superb work on the re-signing of Todd ... gee that was quick ... too quick for Canavan  :)

I like having Payten, he gives us a bit of size off the bench, but he isn't really a commanding presence, a bopper. Hopefully with O'Hara next season, if we can get him off the durries and keep him on the field, those two will give us the big guys we need.
