LAS VEGAS — Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band Quiet Riot that scored a hit with "Cum on Feel the Noize," was found dead in a Las Vegas home. He was 52.

The cause was not immediately known.

A neighbor summoned police and paramedics Sunday to the house where he was pronounced dead, police and coroner's officials said.

There was no forced entry, and no suspicious circumstances were reported, police Officer Jose Montoya said Monday.

Quiet Riot was perhaps best known for its 1983 cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize." The song, featuring Dubrow's powerful, gravelly voice, appeared on the band's album "Metal Health" -- which was the first by a metal band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

DuBrow recorded his first solo album in 2004, "In for the Kill," and the band's last studio CD, "Rehab," came out in October 2006.

"I can't even find words to say," Quiet Riot drummer Frank Banali wrote on his Web site. "Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend Kevin DuBrow."

Determination of the cause of death was pending an autopsy and toxicology results, Clark County coroner's spokeswoman Samantha Charles said.

Unbelievable, that's tragic.

Listen to them quite abit, and he was one awesome voice, surprised they didn't achieve more really....

Funny thing about Dubrow was that the guy was going bold when Cum on feel the noise was released but some how got his back later on lol he should've just left it, he was known for his ugliness lol

Anyway RIP dude.

Rest in peace.

I was never a fan of Quiet Riot, they were basically a Slade tribute band and Slade did it much, much better.

yeah funny how the first big metal hit in the US was a cover.

It couldn't have been recorded too long after the original?

Geezuz that dudes pants must have been tight.

FTR and this pains me to say this.....but I didn't mind Quiet riots version.
Have always thought the band name was a cracker as well.

and Ron was right...he had bad bad bad hair.
I saw a doco on metal and he magically grew his hair back in the late 90's.

In fact a lot of those blokes have wiggish looking hair.

Quiet done there part by putting hair rock on the map and launching argurably the greatest/funnest era of music ever to be seen.

Just watched the clip again, what a powerful voice.

It was about 10 years.

Slade were massive in the early 1970's. Cum on feel the noize was released in '73. Quiet Riot's version in about '83 I think.

Noddy Holder's voice owns everything that Quiet Riot did.

Tbh his voice is pretty damn good EA, I actually think they sound quite abit like. But i just love the Riot version, mainly due to the overall sound, 80ish with the guitar and drums etc.
