I'd like the DWZ FB and Moylan 6 option more if Wallace wasn't a certainty to come back in when fit.

Mansour is NO CHANCE....there will be a late shuffle...but the shuffle will more than likely come from within the 18 named. #PantherPride

So two options imo:

6. Moylan, 1. DWZ, 3. Whare, 4. Idris, 5. Naiqama, 17. Cartwright, 7. Soward

OR

1. DWZ, 3. Whare, 18. Yeo, 4. Idris, 5. Naiqama, 6. Moylan, 7. Soward.

I'd prefer the first option as we can go in with same game plan as this week with Cartwright replacing Peachey seamlessly.

Of those, choice #1 for sure for me. I don't rate Yeo as a centre, and Whare is wasted on the wing.

Really didn't expect this but I respect Ivan's willingness to back DWZ. Yet I think out current game plan too heavily relies on the ball playing of our fullback. Not 100% about moylan's defence up front either. Will be a very interesting game.

Was just thinking about how young some of our guys are, and decided to look them all up and our team is made up mostly of guys born in the 90's.
1. Dallin WATENE ZELEZNIAK - 19
2. Josh MANSOUR - 24
3. Dean WHARE - 24
4. Jamal IDRIS - 24
5. Kevin NAIQAMA - 25
6. Matt MOYLAN - 23
7. Jamie SOWARD - 30
8. Sam McKENDRY - 25
9. James SEGEYARO - 24
10. Brent KITE - 33
11. Sika MANU - 27
12. Elijah TAYLOR - 24
13. Adam DOCKER - 23

INTERCHANGE
14. Lewis BROWN - 28
15. Jeremy LATIMORE - 28
16. Nigel PLUM - 31
17. Bryce CARTWRIGHT - 20
18. Isaah YEO - 20
Average age is 25.1 years old, but the real average would be closer to 24 years old as these are the ages they turn this year and many of them are still a few months from that age.

I feel pretty old knowing there's only 3 players in the team older then me.

Put all those ages together, then multiply the number of years the age of the NSWRL and the NRL in this country, and it still won't come anywhere close to my age.:sarcasm:

Really excited by the prospect of Moylan in the halves & DWZ at fullback.

I hope it stays that way.

Moylan will have played a lot more games in the halves than at fullback by the time his career is over IMO. He's made for it.

Actually, if those ages are the ages as at December 31, since it is now close to the middle of the year, the average is likely to be close to accurate.

This is because those whose birthday is late in the year are being counted as a few months older than they really are, while those early in the year are counted as younger than they really are.

For example, if my birthday were December 31, I would be counted as being 59, when I'm really only 58.5.

Excited, but nervous. No doubt Moylan will be a half one day but he's been dynamite at fullback lately. Ready to be thoroughly impressed by DWZ's return.

Of course he is a certainty. In my opinion the difference between us conceding 10 or 16 and conceding 34 is Wallace or more accurately Wallace/Soward.

I'm concerned we are weakening one position to strengthen another.

I see it more as a trade off.

We lose the ball handling on the sweep around plays from Moylan , but we gain extra speed on the kick returns from DWZ.

In fact it wouldnt shock me to see them somewhat sharing the position ( to a limited extent) Where Moylan could play that sweeping role close to the attacking line.

Moylan will play the same role in our attacking structure that he does now.
DWZ will be purely support play and kick returns.
I like this because there is no real expectation on us to win. Those guys can try out a new lineup without much pressure and if it looks good, this could be our spine for a number of years. Throw in a couple sub's in the forwards and that's not far from the side I'd expect throughout next year.

Is DWZ faster than Moylan? I have seen him run in Holden Cup and he he looks more like a Lockyer/Tomkins type with superb balance rather than an outright speedster like Jennings or even Soward. Is he the fastest man at the club? I have my doubts watching him run, but maybe its just the style he has. He certainly seems more elusive than Moylan, although Moylan is starting to improve in that area. He will do well to replicate the form that Moylan has shown in the last month.

DWZ isn't that fast IMO, but he's quicker then Moylan and more in a Hayne or Inglis mould of fullback. Quick enough, but more power and skill rather then relying purely on pace.

Not saying he's in their league. But I think that's the type of game he brings as opposed to Slater or Tomkins relying purely on perfect timing, good instincts and pace/acceleration.

i agree with that. He's capable of scoring long range tries but not the fastest in the comp.

Hopefully we bomb the Roosters wingers as they had trouble against Sharks with the kick
