Panthers: Will Smith was knocked into tomorrow by Joel Thompson and will spend at least a week on the sidelines. However, skipper Matt Moylan will definitely be named to play his first match of the season and prop Jeremy Latimore will return from suspension. Backrower Bryce Cartwright dislocated his thumb shortly before half-time against the Dragons and did not return. He could still be named if scans clear him later today.

I didn't think there was much in the tackle. Penalty was sufficient IMO. If the Taupau tackle is only worth one week then there's no way this one is worth missing a game over.

Although really this one should have been worth a week. Taupau should have copped 4/5 weeks.

I would start Latu or Matagi. We go so much better when he comes on. go forward and ball playing. McKendry can join Taylor in NSW Cup

Sam McKendry had one ripper of a game and has gone back to his old self. Obviously he is still capable of playing well. Where the f**k has that gone?

McKendry has been plodding better than RCG lately, marginally, and without the occasional catastrophic mistake. Baby steps though, this is a good first step.

6 on the bench.

1 would be for Cartwright (awaiting results of the scan of his thumb).

Who is the other in doubt? Moylan?

If Moylan doesn't play or was in any doubt I would have expected him not to be named. Apparently Sam McKendry is also in a little bit of doubt with a knee injury.

Latimore at prop therefore leaving the bench as it is.

Going to be a ripper of a game on Sunday.Panthers to get their second win of the season.
