I petition that jobber changes the format of these posts for the rest of the year to make NYC the main focus, with NRL hidden down the bottom

When was the last time your post was longer than your signature, Fred? lol.

Considering I pretty much post exclusively from my mobile now, where there are no signatures, every post is longer than my sig ;-)

There is one silver lining in a wretched season like this. It applies to this match and every match to come.

And that's the stress and tension you feel wash away when you truly accept your season is already over in terms of making the finals. You don't hang on every tackle and curl up in the foetal position every time a decision goes to the video ref.

Personally I start to focus on the little things like watching some of the junior players more closely, concentrating on their defensive work, trying to work out where I see potential and where I see potential shortcomings etc.

The highs are less high and the lows are less low, it's like you've been put on the meds to get you through the rest of the year. Sure you're not smiling, but you don't feel suicidal either. Thanks doctor.

Going to this one, last time I went up there was 2 years ago when we won after being 18-0 down.

Will be interesting to see the boys' attitude after another weird week or so off the field. They got up for the Manly game, if they can get up again I hold out hope we at least won't get flogged. Warriors are an unknown quantity still although appear to be steadily improving, they did enough against the Titans without setting the world on fire.

What has Tapine done wrong to lose his spot? And what the hell does Houston keep doing right to keep getting picked? Reminds me of Cameron Ciraldo....

Yeah this is the best possible team we could field. But I would definitely drop house for faalogo or tapine. Wouldn't be surprised to see Boyd rested and mamo to come it depending on origin. Same with beau Scott for tapine.

Well, Houston outplayed Tapine against Manly for a start.

This. Houston has had some shockers but he's unfairly maligned at times. If Bennett keeps him in the middle of the field I'm happy for him to be there. He was one of our best in the finals last year.

Smith has been deadset ordinary this years and I actually think we're worst off having him cut into Cuthbertson's game time
