Orford will be bombing for Ferguson - hope he is not on Utai's wing. I know that him and Ayshford swap when they can but that can also lead to defensive confusion and is not always possible.

Both right wingers, Utai v Vidot

I wish the raiders chose this week for there forwards to go missing instead of last

A very mobile bench, hope they can do the job. Raiders will be up for this game in a big way. Will Dugan be a late starter?

I know you can't have a cast of 1000's, but our current injury problems do expose a lack of depth in the forwards, not that he will make excuses (lol)? Having said that, the newby's went well last week.

I wouldn't say there's a lack of depth but in fact the opposite. We've got three starters out injured at the moment and can call on some reasonably decent players to step up in Payten, Dwyer and Fifita.

Including Murdoch-Masila, Moors & Flanagan on the injured list (all first graders last year) and to call up other players with first grade experience is a pretty decent effort IMO.

If this forward pack can stand up to the Canberra pack then I'll claim we're serious contenders. By all rights our forwards should get steamrolled this week.

Be good to have Moors and Murdoch-Masila back.

Would be good to have doch back, but he only played in the 2 semi's last year.... It will be great to see him after Folkes has had his way with him in the gym all offseason
Haven't seen the replay, but from the hill it looked like the Shirnacks and woods were very good defensivley...

Last year we got to the semis and bought on a guy who hadn't played first grade, now we will have already given both shirnacks and woods valuable minutes...

Any side with Farah and Marshall in their ranks is a chance, but without Gibbs Fulton Ellis and depth forwards in Moors Flanagan and BBM we will struggle.

I think the Raiders will win and reasonably well. If and when we can get a full strength team on the field we will cause some big problems but at the moment every win will be hard to find

great completion rate in this first 40. Benji looks on tonight. Forwards providing a great platform, Backs have room to move and option runners, things look great for the 2nd half.

Galloway bending the line at will in the first half. He HAS to play origin this year!

Mitch Brown wouldn't have a problem slotting in.

He had a great season and I hope he gets a chance back in the side.

I was only thinking while watching that game, that i am not overly keen on Lawrence making origin (if he was to). I was thinking i really dont want to see him missing for those three games. Combined with Benj, in my opinion is the best left side in the comp.
I may be over reacting but i would have much rathered get beaten in that game than lose Lawrence, which by reports, appears long term.
Value opinons on here from you guys and wonder what you think.
Is there a bright light? Who comes in?
Such a shame.

i thought our young forwards really need to work very hard on discipline and ball control. Several costly turn overs we could have done without.

In the first half we used a tactic that I was very pleased with where we made the Raiders defend 3 consecutive sets deep in their own half. We should do that more often. It really gave us the edge over them as we sapped a lot of their energy earlyish in the game.
