We beat them, they have an excuse? Or they beat us and we have no excuse?

I'll take the first one every day of the week.!

We'll still be underdogs even without him though.
Hi speedy i was just watching the captains run live, mavin confirmed talis had a hip injury, talis was there training didnt look compromised by it so i think he will play, they are probably needling it

Unless he applies for exemption and gets approved.

sadly he is the poster child of anyone gets approved it would be him

but I hope not
He can't apply for an exemption. It's automatic 11 day stand down and it will only have been 7 days for them.

I reckon he should also cop a suspension for that reckless leap that has broken Jerome Hughes' hand. There's his poster child exemption already!

Sounds like Rava will play tomorrow. Wayne said he'd be the only change to the side. Hope he has learnt to trust Campbell on his inside and stay out on his winger.

Well, Wayne has put to bed any thoughts of Latrell playing anywhere else other than fullback. Sounds like Gray will get the #14 jumper and be used as an X-factor utility off the bench. I'm good with that considering it's what I had been wanting throughout the preseason to begin with although the way Jye has gone the first 2 matches had me thinking about shifting Lats to centres.

Will be interesting to see what Wayne does with the pack once Aitken is back. He may well start Aitken off from the bench but even then, he'll come on and play edge shifting probably Keaon into the middle rotation. Aitken is a left edge player whcih is where Keaon has shifted to this season after previously playing on the right side but being a bit of a defensive liability there in the past. He is a lot fitter this year of course, Keaon, but he has done really well on the left.

Meanwhile, Arrow, who could easily transition back to the middle rotation as can Keaon, has been immense defensively on that side sliding well with Graham to limit the damage which we missed for parts of the game against the Dragons when he went off twice for HIAs and couldn't come back on after the 2nd one.

Personally, I'm thinking Keaon to 13 when Aitken gets back to full fitness and Duncan back to the bench rotation. Wayne didn't bring Aitken over to be a bit part player either I'm guessing. Could work well. Keaon exploded into awesome form last year when he shifted to lock.

Will be interesting when we get more troops back and get close to fielding a full side in a few weeks time - providing no more injuries or suspensions happen in the meantime - fingers crossed!

I like the signing of the Cheese, it's a bit of a risk yes, but it could become a good signing and his versatility will definitely be handy. Honestly, I think have him/Mammo rotate at hooker - give Cheese 50mins gametime or thereabouts. Or Cheese comes in as 14?
Souths are not paying $1.1 million for a guy to play a Cody Nikorema/ Benji Marshall role.
Whenever he is fit and available, he will be playing, most likely in a starting role.

Brother, cheese is an impact player, he gives 60min of full on ripping, he wont tire him out starting him in the grind, i recon he will be on the bench

I can see possibly that he may not be running on, at the very beginning of his Rabbitohs career
I agree with you that he won't be playing 80 mins, and that his best usage is about 55-60mins, as was suggested this week in FOX NRL360
But to think his role will be "utility player" as was kinda suggested (unless I misunderstood) is ludicrous
