Raiders Struggle over Bengals!

Well the Raiders did it the hard way today by beating the Bengals in what should have been a walk in the park but ended up being a very close encounter in the last quarter.

With the scores locked at 20 all it took the Raiders to kick a FG with about 13 seconds on the clock to get home 23-20.

The bengals probably the worst team in the NFL performed well coming back several times against the Raiders.

The game saw several twists with the Raiders going out to a 10-0 lead after about 5mins in the first quarter, but the bengals didn't close up shop and toughed it out for the next 25mins or so to have the scores all level at the HT break 10 all

The 3rd quarter was poor from both sides with only a FG kicked by both sides and heading into the 4th quarter the scores were level at 13 all

The Raiders had a great peace of luck with the Bengals hard on the attack but an intercept by Buchanon saw the end of that and he ran about 80 odd meters to score and put the Raiders ahead with about 4mins to go by 7pts.

The Bengals didn't give up however, they did play the better attacking wise in the last quater and got a much deserved touchdown with just over 1min to go making the scores equal at 20 all.

But some terrible and nervous play saw the Bengals give up some much valuable field position and saw with about 15 seconds on the clock the Raiders potted over a 40yard FG to grab a very scrappy win.

The Bengals are not the worst team in the NFL. They have a wonderful offence with Dillon, Schobel, Warrick and the new man Palmer. Their D is not so great, but they will get there.

The worst team in the NFL is without a doubt the Cardinals. They have a QB that has not even really played, a woeful defence and a running back, who lets face it, is way past his prime.

True but the problem with the Bengals is that instead of getting better they tend to get worse with each season :(

I dont really see how Palmer helps make the Bengals offence look better, Kitna is the main man in Cincinatti and he will be all season long unless he takes a form dive.

As for Minnesota, HEY YAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its time for me to bring back my tributes for every minnesota win, its a chance to appreciate the real heroes of the vikings, sure Moe Williams appeared to do all the work yesterday - but I think we all know the Vikings would have lost if it wasnt for:

Steve Lacroix.

Steve is the Vice president of Sales and marketing and I think we would all agree was the star of the show yesterday. After the game Moe Williams was asked about the game and all he could say was

"Man this team is all about Steve, go interview him"

Go Vikings

If anyone seen Carson Palmer like I did LIVE watching him play in last years Bowl playing for USC, you also would have seen a future star in the NFL at the fore. This guy is gunna be a freak in two years time. He`s gunna one day lead if not the Bungles to a Superbowl but someone else to one In my mind!!!!

I am not expecting anything special from him, many young QB's have been and left Cincy without leaving anything but dissapointment after not living up to expectations. Going from College football to the Pros is hard enough, let alone being thrown into a team who doesnt know what its doing on offence and you have a sure fire formula for dissapointment in my eyes.
