From yours truly 8) :

The Canberra Raiders have named a 19-man side for their top of the table clash with the Brisbane Broncos on Sunday at Canberra Stadium.

Elliott has named an unchanged starting lineup to the one that smashed Parramatta 50-14 last Saturday night.

Coming onto the bench are Adam Mogg and Troy Thompson. Both players are returning from injury and it is a welcome selction headache for Matthew Elliott, who has some hard decisions to make before Sunday’s blockbuster.

The Raiders have also stepped up negotiations with Mark McLinden and Phil Graham as the clubs attempts to retain as many players as they can leading up to the June 30 deadline.

At least 16,000 tickets have been pre-sold for this match and the early indications are the game will be close to a sellout.

1: Clinton Schifcofske
2: Michael Robertson
3: Phil Graham
4: Joel Monaghan
5: Jamaal Lolesi
6: Mark McLinden
7: Brad Drew
8: Ryan O'Hara
9: Simon Woolford (c)
10: Luke Davico
11: Ruben Wiki
12: Ian Hindmarsh
13: Jason Croker

INTERCHANGE
14: Troy Thompson
15: Tyran Smith
16: Sean Rutgerson
17: Terry Martin
18: Michael Hodgson
19: Adam Mogg
(two to be omitted)

I'd probably omit Thompson and Rutgerson or Smith from that bench, but I'm more inclined to leave Smith in the side.

It is hard bu i like moggs defense, therefore my hard decision would be to drop lolesi and either throw monas or graham on the wing.

The Raiders could basically walk it in if Tallis, Carroll, De Vere and Lockyer aren't playing.

The Broncos are waving Kaon, all the way back home to Brisbane with the win and the top of the table spot. You had it for a couple of weeks but thats enough for the green machine, time to let the big boys take over  .

Tallis and Carroll were both out but there was never any sign of a "walk in" for Canberra. The Raiders just underestimated the Broncos. They played too much to the expectation that the Broncos would tire and fall in on themselves. It never happened and the Raiders played right into their hands for big portions of the match.

They got a little help from Harrigan leading into halftime with the Berrigan call and they should've put the Broncos away in the backend of the match. I think the calls went both ways though. I don't think Berrigan played at the ball and I don't think he knocked on in the second half. Also Kelly put a foot in touch before he went dead so it should've been a 10m scrum instead of a 20m restart and Parker was impeded from tackling Wiki. On the other hand the Broncos got away with quite a few dubious passes and Harrigan was quite lenient on them with the 10 meters.

I don't care who finishes ahead of who come round 26, we've now got the bragging rights for the rest of the season 8) .

I'd probably have to agree on that one. I don't know if it was grounds for a penalty try but certainly a penalty to give the Raiders one last roll of the dice.

The main difference was Drew's stupid kick to Minto and Schif's off day with the boot. Both teams scored four tries and as usual we were slow out of the blocks in the first 30 minutes of the match and werre made to pay by a quality side.

The big test will be if we can gat back on track against the Warriors this weekend. Tough game over in Auckland and a must win as all the big guns won over the weekend to compress the top eight and make the race for the top four very wide open.

Why was it that stupid? Did you see how close Robbo got to pinching it from the air and scoring?? You wouldn't say it was stupid then. Unfortunate? yes, stupid? I think not.

I was standing right on the corner near that kick and it didn't even get in the in-goal. Stupid yes. He should have gone higher.

I thought Drew should have gone along the ground. He went to the well once too often and got burned. Badly!

I'm not that disappointed we lost and we showed we can match it with the big teams but some of our plays at times were very silly.

Croker was pushed out trying to run around Stuart Kelly. That play was never going to work and I have noticed Croker's error rate is starting to climb. I'm starting to think he may be an impact player off the bench next year with Terry Martin the starting lock.

I don't think it was Drew's fault we lost at all. It was just extremely unlucky that Minto plucked that kick from the air, I thought Drew played pretty well.

The Broncos are content with their season after beating the Raiders? Gee we have come a fair way.

I haven't watched the match but listened to parts of it, i have to say that we ARE title contenders this year. I didn't think that during our winning streak or even after 10 rounds.
