Diablo yawned as he looked over the mostly empty and entirely dusty dungeon that had become his prison. A few confused looking goat men and gibbering Fallen Ones hurried about trying to look busy, but he knew it was all for show.
He knew the truth: the adventurers weren't coming and nobody gave two shits about Tristram. And why should they? The place had a population of eleven and only a single cow for sustenance.
"Your bath has been prepared, master," Jason Maher, his latest manservant simpered fawningly at his side and gestured to where a swimming pool sized stone tub had been filled with the blood of virgins.
Incidentally, the NRL forum had been substantially quieter of late.
"I don't need a bath," growled Diablo, "I'm bored!" He punctuated his statement with a belch of fire that singed Jason Maher's hair. His manservant squealed girlishly and fled into the darkness.
And Diablo had an idea. If the adventurers wouldn't come to him, he would summon them. But he wouldn't just summon buxom Amazons and righteous Paladins: he'd summon heroes and villains from across the Multiverse and he'd pit them against his dungeon.
His maniacal laughter sent goat men and Fallen Ones alike scattering. They'd soon be very busy.
