Swap brooks for a functioning steering wheel like Hastings & we realistically win 2-3 games. The perverse has-been sheens is in massive denial constantly talking up the paragon of imbeciles Brooks.Of all the carastophic blunders the morons at concord have made over the last decade sheens’s one where he preferred brooks over Hastings has had the most adverse consequence.A close 2nd in monumentally horrendous judgement calls was the appointment of the 3 coaching stooges.
And we will never know what a few wins would have done to the confidence of the team?

You need to understand the past to see how to change the future, my question was to enquire if this is how Wests always operated as they were (arguably) not the most successful club in the past and may explain why we have gone down this management path now, as it seems an unusual structure for a board imo, from what I see, it's not as if they are putting in huge money like Lee is, so why are these guys there?

I don’t want Lees money, not a cent.

We can prosper and survive without it.

Sack the board. New Democratic structure.
Club members to vote after 3 years continuous membership and have the balance of power. Minimum quorum 1500

Split the Ceo responsibility into 2.

Justin can continue with his boring yet essential corporate rubbish, so long as the dollars keep rolling in, but no Lee or Board associated entities. No more media.

We offer Bennet or Bellamy the role as CEO football affairs. They can nominate coaches and players etc. They can do ceo media

I think the club wants/needs his money, all clubs need a benefactor but maybe not as the decision maker?

The rest.....I think your dreaming that we run the club as a democracy:(

You will find our books will show that we don’t need Lee or Brydens.

We should run the club as a democracy is my point. Other clubs do.

We’ve been stitched up good and proper.

It’s probably fair to say that if we are going ok, no-one probably cares who owns what.

It’s during the dark times when people demand change that the soft underbelly of our fascist management is revealed.

And the management structure is basically organised around fascist corporate principles, where us consumers with an emotional investment in the club are stood over on a daily basis and told to “ suck it up”

And Lee is waving a big stick around against dissenters in the media etc, trying to scare people off while the club sinks under the waves.

A big problem for the club is the months of promises made and the heightening of expectations about success late last year. Any success. All these people bought tickets and memberships and hopped on the bus.

When the actual delivery has been multiple failures. We can’t even get the thing started.

The only neutral decision seems to be the signing and effort of Bateman. That’s against 100’s of poor ones. And even that’s arguable because it allegedly cost us Hastings.

I like Bateman, but on a pure results basis, we haven’t won a game. We may have with Hastings. He didn’t want to go either.

And Tim and co are the worst coaches in the comp. That’s not able to be disputed.

Winning 4 games for the whole of last year is going to seem like “glory days” soon.

I’m starting to reminisce myself. Getting teary and sentimental about a 70 point flogging because at least we got a few points along the way. We at least had some success. Now we have none and it’s looking like zero on the horizon. Who are we going to beat?!

Even poor Noddy was doing a better job than Tim with less than half his strike and defence capability….that’s just …f**king embarrassing.

Noddy yawning in the dressing room was more motivating to our players than Tim’s bullshitting.

TBF, we had a bit to be excited about at the end of last year, had some good signings but none of us realised just how poor the team would be, though, I still maintain that the players need to answer some serious questions about their own efforts so far this year.

The protection of Brooks just seems imbecilic and I don't know why.

But I do agree, our coaches appear to be out of their depth and we have another 4+ years of it, unless the board grow a set and bite the bullet.

I guess never say never, but I am struggling to find a win against anyone this season. As I said earlier, it is US who are the easy 2 points in the comp. We may turn it around (not impossible) but so far, it looks improbable.

Agree with It all and double down.

I suggested it a few weeks ago, but an immediate pathway to help resolve the coaching crisis, seems to be to get a consultant in to help Tim and co find their way.

An extra set of eyes during training and all facets.

I think Tim is trying but as you said the crew seem “out of their depth” at the moment.

The current coaches are prone to support themselves and their forensics and won’t look critically at the whole approach as they have a vested interest.

The club couldn’t bring itself to show any signs of weakness, so I’d expect we’d have to bring the expert in on the quiet to avoid embarrassment.

If we cant improve this season, the whole program will run off the rails and into the ditch.

The club will have to create even more spin and waffle and lose even more credibility.

Memberships will take a beating regardless.

The first one, not yet? But we wouldn’t be brave enough to look at it.

The second one, I don’t believe he would, he’s like the rest of us, a lifer:(

True enough.

@Das Hassler is staunch.

His understanding of things WT differs from mine in many ways, but I don’t doubt his integrity and good intent.

I was concerned when he may have got the co-vid.

Was the early days before vaccination and I admit that I was privately worried he was going to leave us. So I’m glad he’s still about.

Reasonable minds can arrive at different conclusions.

Speaking of reasonable minds, I haven’t seen @stryker pussy in the trenches recently.

The traitorous arsehole. He’s “disgruntled“, more delusional I think, after everything the club has done for him, maybe fight for your position instead of fleeing.
This is where the club must make a stand, massive release/transfer fee, plus invoice him for all the in-house physio costs for last year.

Actually, why not offer Nofa to Manly?

I believe i can see some smoke starting at the bottom of the stick...their confidence is building and there's going to be a number of other sides going into a slump...there always is...the first win isn't far off.

Integrity and good intent? Absolutely!....i stand by my motto " These are my principals!...AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM....it's OK...I have others

Thanks for the past concern but I'm somewhat hard to kill....barely worth the effort really

Two posts for the price of one...don't quite know how i did that

I don’t know what half these editing things do.

But I still think we need a secret coach whisperer to help Tim and co in all facets.

Preferably before he releases players, because he blew the Hastings decision pretty badly.

We still have the war chest, I’d suggest we are busy in the market.

What I’d like to see is that we only release players where we have a better option all wrapped up.
