Ok guys, the major season might be over but there's still the Fruit'n'Veg stakes in Perth, Summer stakes in Brissie and a few decent races around. Let everyone know what you're having a few bob on today

Fruit and Veg stakes - This is a toughie to pick. Confectioner and Belle Bizarre will be right up there again and I honestly am willing to not touch Scenic Shot. My roughie for this one is Polar Bear - horror draw, but loves the distance, ran well at Melbourne and will be better for the recent run at Ascot. Go with these three.

Summer stakes @ Doomben - Pretty tough race to pick, but Natural Destiny is rightfully the favourite here. I think Starlactic also has strong claims and will probably box them up with another two or three horses for the first four jackpot.

I've gone halves in the boxed first 4 for the Summer stakes with my old man. Here's what we came up with...

Ducked out to get tea and swung by the local for a bet on the Fruit N Veg. Went $10 the win on Scenic Shot and $5 on the quinella with Niconero. Quni paid $20.90. Got desert with tea too then :lol:

NIcely done! Lost $15 on going halves with the old man on that First Four, but had $20 on Natural Destiny on top of that (and 5ew on Starlactic).

All in all, I think I finished just ahead!
