Confusing categories Tim, what's the difference between a roughie and dark horse? ftr by dark horse I mean "teams who could surprisingly win it", and by roughie I really meant "teams who could surprisingly make the top 8 and therefore have a half chance".

Dark horses are ones that are up there but not really being talked about at any great length... that you might think are a real shot

Pretenders are obviously teams that aren't really going that great but still seem to be up there

Roughies are ones that are probably too low to make an impact but still have a realistic shot.

I guess I could have the Tigers as "roughies" since they're only 8th, but I have them as "dark horses" because I think a full strength Tigers side can (but almost definitely won't..might not even make the 8) win the whole thing. The Roosters and the Rabbits I don't think will win it, but I think they can improve, make the 8 and maybe win a game if they're lucky.

Souths attack is on the improve and combined with good defence , they are definite dark horses.

We definately have "semi-final defence". That's why I really hope we can make it. I doubt there'd be a blow-out score in a semi with Souths involved (I also doubt we'd win but hey our defence gives us a chance in each and every game we play).

Yeah i agree with that, its been pretty hard to tip Souths this year for me because they have been competitive in every match but at times have been frustrating at the end of matches when they need a try.
