Ratt and Winger are playing a double bill together at The Metro on November 12 and November 14 at the Billboard in Melbourne....

"It’s the 1980’s and Sunset Strip is about to be redefined as the birthplace of glam metal. In seedy booze filled venues, acts such as Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Dokken were cutting their teeth. Album covers and videos are adorned with stunning blondes, writhing around entwining themselves with snakes and sprawled seductively across car bonnets. One band was not only at the forefront of the scene but they kicked the whole damn thing off……the leaders of the pack…Ratt!
In 1984 Ratt released ‘Out Of The Cellar’ to critical acclaim and blew the LA music scene wide open, selling in excess of 3 million albums. Scurrying up from some subsonic cellar, Ratt perfected their trademark mix of guitar heroics, anthemic hooks and hedonistic attitude and were living the rock dream, partying hard and selling out stadiums worldwide. Platinum success followed Ratt through the late 80’s including their final album, ‘Detonator’ in 1990 which even featured Jon Bon Jovi on backing vocals.
Not only are Ratt on the verge of paying a long-awaited visit to Australia, they will be supplemented on a kick ass double bill with none other than Winger! Kip Winger's wicked smile, silky hair, and sinful good looks is still burned into the memory of many females from the 80's. However they were also hailed as one of the most technical hard rock bands around and were always a step beyond their counterparts. In 2006, 14 years after the brilliant ‘Pull’, Winger released IV and Kip Winger’s trademark unforgettable stylistic croon is more apparent than ever…’In short, it’s incredible’ – All Access Magazine

Unreal!!!! Ratt is favourite band, however with Robbin dead and Bass player Juan Crouicer not with the band anymore...only 3/5's of the band will be there.

Seeing Warran Demartini play live would be unreal!!!! Argurably in the top 10 best guitarists of the 80's, bloody amazing.

Put music differences a side, this guy is just fantastic! didn't get the accolades like Eddie V etc. His style was more blues orientated, and his finger picking was so slick and quick. A great guitarist, look him up for yourself;-)

Drum media is crap though;-) any newspaper that writes up good things about Ben Lee and other crappy oz groups which are absolute tripe need to seriously look at themselves and take a holdiay to the US to see the talent they have coming through to here;-)

Who bothers to read anything apart from "the racket" in the drum?

The only thing i would read in the drum media was the first couple of pages, generally that's where info on (well use to be)international acts would be. Proven performers on a global stage.
