Ratt and Winger are playing a double bill together at The Metro on November 12 and November 14 at the Billboard in Melbourne....
"Its the 1980s and Sunset Strip is about to be redefined as the birthplace of glam metal. In seedy booze filled venues, acts such as Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Dokken were cutting their teeth. Album covers and videos are adorned with stunning blondes, writhing around entwining themselves with snakes and sprawled seductively across car bonnets. One band was not only at the forefront of the scene but they kicked the whole damn thing off the leaders of the pack Ratt!
In 1984 Ratt released Out Of The Cellar to critical acclaim and blew the LA music scene wide open, selling in excess of 3 million albums. Scurrying up from some subsonic cellar, Ratt perfected their trademark mix of guitar heroics, anthemic hooks and hedonistic attitude and were living the rock dream, partying hard and selling out stadiums worldwide. Platinum success followed Ratt through the late 80s including their final album, Detonator in 1990 which even featured Jon Bon Jovi on backing vocals.
Not only are Ratt on the verge of paying a long-awaited visit to Australia, they will be supplemented on a kick ass double bill with none other than Winger! Kip Winger's wicked smile, silky hair, and sinful good looks is still burned into the memory of many females from the 80's. However they were also hailed as one of the most technical hard rock bands around and were always a step beyond their counterparts. In 2006, 14 years after the brilliant Pull, Winger released IV and Kip Wingers trademark unforgettable stylistic croon is more apparent than ever In short, its incredible All Access Magazine
