The matches tonight will include Maven vs. Gene Snitsky, Batista vs. Chris Jericho, and there will be a triple threat match between Molly, Lita, and Trish. Next involves Jonathan Coachman. That match will be The Coach vs. Jim Ross. Benoit then points to a cage above the ring and there will be a cage match for the World title between Triple H and Chris Benoit himself.

Match #1 (Singles) - Gene Snitsky vs. Maven:

As Maven comes down to the ring, Snitsky hits a couple of knees to keep Maven out. Maven then gets in a cheap shot that lets him finally get into the ring. He goes out of the ring and wraps Maven’s arms around the ring post. He crushes Maven’s head with his knee and then goes back in to drop the elbow on him. Snitsky goes for a pin, but Maven kicks out. Snitsky puts Maven into a half Boston crab. Snitsky continues to attack Maven after he lets up on the hold, but Maven comes back with a Russian leg sweep. Maven goes up top and he hits a flying cross body. He goes up top on the other side and connects with a flying bulldog. Snitsky kicks out of the pin cover and Maven is whipped into the corner. Winner: Chris Benoit

Post-match, Flair confronts Batista and Flair is pissed. Flair wants Batista to get the hell out of here, but Batista decides to head down to the ring to finish what he’s started and he issues Flair an ultimatum. Batista heads for the ring as we go to commercial.

Batista is in the ring and he is calling out Triple H. He doesn’t want his title, at least not yet. Triple H’s music hits and he can be seen limping to the ring with Flair and trainers trying to get him to turn back. Testosterone is flowing as the two man butt heads. Triple H has only one thing to say to Batista, and that’s good job. We’ve all been fooled!!! Triple H actually had us thinking that he was going to go after Batista and he thanks the doctor for playing a part in this whole charade. Everyone continues to revel in their success in pulling this trick off. Triple H still feels Batista should have beaten Jericho, but the night is young and Triple H is still the World Heavyweight Champion.

Triple H wants to have a celebration, but he is interrupted by Randy Orton. He believs that he wasn’t what they expected, and he congratulates Triple H for pulling off a good swerve. Next week Orton will be the GM, and Triple H feigns fear. Triple H reminds him that he can not get a title shot, and Orton knows that. He’ll give Triple H a few options. One being it’ll be Orton vs. Triple H and if Orton wins, the stipulation is lifted. Triple H says that it won’t happen.

Since he turned that down, he’l be facing everybody behind Door #2, and everyone from the locker room proceeds to come out. He’ll be facing everybody in a company wide over the top rope battle royal. Batista will also be involved and that battle royal will be for the World Heavyweight Championship.

END OF SHOW

I thought the Benoit vs Edge match was a great contest.

It was a sleep-a-thon! One of the 2 worst wrestlers in action TOGETHER! It was so bad I turned it off after 5 minutes!
