he does ask a valid question for a change, why is there an ugly realistic statue of him at the ground if the players short listed are better than him?

might be time to remove the statue (it was put up because he and some parra fans started sulking about the name change of a room at the stadium, wasn't it?)

he's basically saying in his statement that he is the best parra player ever. poor guy seems to be struggling to accept his post league mortality and relevance.

It's pretty f**king obvious why he isn't there.

    Cheap politics and factionalism.

Same reason holding us back in many other more important areas.

He has an arguable and very strong claim to be out best ever player.

The fact that he opposed some of the said factions doesn't entitle real supporters to tarnish his legacy as a player. I can't believe the way people want to talk about him and Kenny because of their political agenda.

Sums up everything wrong with our footy club.

Exactly. From 1976 until 1986 whilst Price was at the Eels we made the 7 grand finals and won 4. We also made the semis every year except 1980. We missed out that year by a point and coincidentally Price was out injured for the last 5 rounds.

You got your statue , you got Fitzy out , you got Roy in and your paid gig now STFU you whinging c**k . They should've asked Ray which one of the 5 he was better than if he thinks he's better than one or all of the 5 .

Bigger disappointment than Anchor Man #2 is Ray .

Some were great club players, some were at their best at interstate level and some were great international players. Of all the players Ive seen watching 50 years of rugby leage, Ray Price was magnificent at any and all levels of the game.
One of the all time best and definitely a "Champion of Parramatta".

My point is that great Australians deal with matters like these with grace and humility.

If you want respect, then you handle it waaaaay better than Pricey does.

He MAY very well deserve the accolade, but people like him often get overlooked through fear that he might shoot his mouth off and cause the club damage in the process. He could very easily turn a very positive moment for the club into a negative.

He's already turned it into a negative . Instead of talking about the 5 everyone's talking about the bitter old bastard who's claimed he's better them publicly . The awards nights going to be treading on eggshells and when it's awarded everyone's going to be paying their attentions to Ray . He's already influenced the event negatively mate , it's all he f**king does these days .
