West Sydney Razorbacks
One of Australias most enduring sponsorships is set to continue with the announcement that Integral Energy has committed to a further term with the West Sydney Razorbacks basketball team through to 2007 - the decade mark for the partnership.
"We're proud to continue our support of the West Sydney Razorbacks," said Kate McCue, Manager Corporate Affairs for Integral Energy.
"They are great sports, terrific ambassadors for Western Sydney, and they have a real sense of contributing to the community," she said.
Razorbacks CEO, Robbie Cadee, was naturally delighted with the commitment, They are our most valued sponsor, he said. You rarely see this longevity for commercial arrangements in sport and it reflects the type of organisation that Integral Energy is you can rely on them basically, they go in for the long-haul and they stick by you.
Integral has always been there for us, in-particular as supporter of the club's community programs, helping us strive to develop a positive outlook among kids. Each year we join them in organising free basketball camps with all our players and coaches, for more than 100 kids.
Cadee said that Integrals backing has enabled the club to spend resources on many worthwhile activities, Their sponsorship gives us the means to feed back into the communities of western Sydney with projects like Read to Succeed, promoting a healthy lifestyle to kids, skills and mentoring visits to schools, and the chance to brighten up the lives of some disadvantaged individuals and groups.
Integral Energy joined the Razorbacks ahead of their debut season in the National Basketball back in 1998 and have remained a steadfast supporter ever since.
