we played for repeat sets and part of the reason why we had so much ball.

last few weeks we have been playing safety footy.

yesterday we had a bit of second play and that's what suits our game.

furthermore we are much better spreading the ball on the 3rd or 4th on our side of the field. our strength is out wide and broken play

of course we need to complete sets and match it in the forward s first

Well we were all hard on Vai last week , me included but no one has really given it to semi for his performance last night. He had a bit of a shocker, bombed that try, dropped that bomb and let Roberts get around him

That's because we won the game. But really semi had his worst game. He was as bad as VAI Last week.

Just on the game, 'twas great we got a win. What can you say about Hayne? Man is a legend, a freak etc etc. greatest Eel ever. He was obviously the difference last night for sure. he's carrying out team all the time. Wish someone else in our team would step and give us a different point of attack or option instead of just relying on Hayne for the miracle play.

Was it Semi that also passed the ball behind Hayne early in the second half with the line wide open? In any case it's a game he'd probably prefer to forget.

Hoppa was supporting his arm a lot last night. We kept our eye on him in back play and were surprised how he managed to stay on the field and keep contributing. Even wounded he had a fantastic game. I hope he recovers well for next week.
That was Morgs Tony.

Semi has struggled with confidence over the last few weeks.

Early on in the year he was still a lottery and tried his luck. Everything he did was gold.

However, since the shocker of a match where he was trying to pass and offload, he has second guessed himself.

He has to learn when to jump and when to stay on the ground under the high ball.

Sio had this issue last year. This year, sio's decision making has improved out of site.

My take now is that Semi and Vai are on par. But Sio is our number 1 winger at the time

I think for our blokes, forcing a drop out via a short kick is massive. Even if we don't score straight after this, it just get their heads more focussed. Our goal each week should be forcing one of these as soon as possible.

Bit harsh on sandow for mine
Haynes try obviously lifted the side and so he should as captain and biggest earner
But sandow set up our other three tries

Still concerned that the whole game slows down and sideways when Sef Paulo comes onto the field.

Can anyone explain his continued place in the top 17, as before he is not a half and not enough impact to play in the back row, coaches seem to appreciate him more than us mere spectators

Sounded like you were bagging the NFL, which is why I commented.

And the Hayne remarks weren't aimed at you - it was just a general observation.

Most definitely not bagging the NFL, i love it! Can't wait for the pre-season to start and my team (Colts) to go at least one better than last year.

Fair enough, i saw those comments too and although he was quiet we don't know whether the game plan was for that as the whole team looked lost for a lot of the first half in attack, Arthur may have wanted Norman and Sandow to take control.

Once he actually injected himself we looked very dangerous, whether we like it or not he is the driver of our attack and we look much better when he is heavily involved.
