Dufty had to be picked now and hopefully he will retain the spot for the rest of the season.
He showed in the game against Manly his willingness to chime into the back line in attack.
He did take a couple of high kicks without any trouble. There was no pressure on him with those kicks. So we will have to wait and see how he goes but I hope noone compares him with Dugan's defence. It's chalk and chees trying to compare them.
I hope Dufty goes well but dont forget this will be only his second game and we shouldn't be to hard on him

Duffy should own this position for the remainder of the season.
He will have a bad game and don't they all, so hopefully the 'McCrone rule' applies.
He should be first choice, looking to the future.
Dugan chose to sign elsewhere so he should be utilised to play centres or wherever we need him.

Like Dufty in the team. I know he won't always have a great game, but he is not only the future but really should be the now. We have been saying for ages the need for a ball player at the back and Dufty fits the bill, plus he has speed. Hopefully he will grow into this position and make it his own for the next 10 years as a top notch player and member of a strong Dragons spine.

Until they play us.
Because the style of football they play is outdated.
You wouldn't want to depend on the form line because they beat us without raising a sweat - playing the crap that they do.
Most of the other teams have worked them out except us.
We will have one more tilt at them before the season finishes.
Let's see if we learn anything.

why are the dogs so shit
Because their captain is a ball hog and constantly stifles their attack.
To think people wanted him to come to us FFS props playing as 5/8's is just a death wish.
The Sharks have a similar problem with Gallen and is why they have struggled this year to win conclusively but they are lucky and have a fair bit more strike power outside than the Dogs.
I suspect the Sharks will struggle through whe finals if they stick to their current style and the Storm, Cowboys and Bronco's will deal with them pretty easily.

Our defence back peddles against them which allows them to get the roll on.
We need to get right up on them and belt them hard from the get go and make sure we don't take any bullshit from that turd Reynolds.
Thommo has to make sure he owns him.

I'm tipping us to win comfortably. Mary's taken them up early which shows some intent, just hope it's not for a holiday as Mary sounded very relaxed in the preview presser.

Also tipping Duges to have a strong game, he won't have to do as much positionally so expecting more with his involvement - can McCrone put up some kicks for Duges and MacDonald? They're both big enough to handle SKD. Can Lafai and Nighty contain Gagai?
Will Ross be able to score run away tries with Dufty chasing?

Hoping Dufty can at least stay as involved as he was on debut even if it's not as exciting as last week. Hoping the pack know he's following and waiting for the offload too.

The Knights will give us some grief at home with pure pride on the line so I hope we can put them to the sword and build some confidence and belief before Souffs next week at the SCG.

Dragons by 60.
Ok then, 30.
Alright, 16 then and I'm not going any lower than that.

Yes the spine of Dufty, Widdop, Hunt and McInnes looks great for next year. All we need now is a replacement for Packer and some good depth in reserve grade.

One step at a time but if things go to plan and we beat Knights, Eels lose to Donkeys and Storm account for SeaEagles then we will be sitting in 6th spot...admittedly on for and against but a little more comfortable than a few weeks ago...
