We won't be in contention for home finals... it's scraping into 7th or 8th or nothing for us.

I actually don't think we're a snowballs chance of running 7th or 8th. I think it's either 6th or 9th.

Actually alot of that will depend on the result of the Panthers v Cowboys game tomorrow night though

This is the kind of thing that only happens to us. Missing the semis because of a ballboy. ( not that I blame him)

I think that would depend on who we played. If we play the Cowboys for instance, I dare say we wont be getting too many more to ANZ than we will Pirtek, The same could be argued for the Warriors.

It won't matter who we play.
If we get a home final, it has to be played at ANZ or Allianz.
Same as any Sydney team

I don't go for either team so I'm unbiased in this debate but I think its impossible to say whether the eels would have scored. One thing I do believe, and others have alluded to this, is that the referee did not like the quick tap being taken and so used the ball boy incident as an excuse. I think this is not going to be the end of this saga. I think from now on we could well see clubs hiring junior sprinters as ball kids to so they can put the ball down quicker to restart play. Additionally, we could see clubs telling their ball kids to move slower when it comes to the opposition restarting play. I just feel that this whole incident has opened up a can of worms!

I say get rid of the 'quick tap' altogether. It's obviously too difficult for the refs to manage - and isn't it advantage enough to get the ball from a forty-twenty without the added quick tap option? How fast do they want this game, anyway?

Home Venues Explained
Week One: Qualifying Finals & Elimination Finals
The highest qualifying teams after 26 Rounds will host each match at their normal home venue, with exception to any Sydney based NRL club which will play their 'home game' at either the Allianz Stadium or ANZ Stadium.

Well that is clearly ridiculous and unfair that some teams get to play at their home ground and others don't.

Nothing is fair about this comp. Its ridiculous how teams play some teams once and others twice. Why should the finals series be any different. It's a game run by baboons, played by baboons, and followed by baboons.

I don't understand what you're saying here?

I'm agreeing that the Round 1/2/3 rules are unfair. But pointing out that teams outside Sydney are at a disadvantage relative to the Syd teams when it comes down to the GF....which is held in Sydney no matter what. Not saying it shouldn't be....
