5.30pm Saturday 4th September - Parramatta Stadium

Possibly (if we dont make the semis) will be the last game for a few players in the blue and gold, particularly captain Cayless

Two teams fighting it out for a spot in the top 8 with the Eels coming out on top after a close game until the final 20 minutes when the Eels start running away with the game 34 to 12.

Why would the NRL do Cayless any favours in that regard?

He's only captained a team more than any other player in the entire history of the league.

Why give Parra a favourable timeslot for that??

with that timeslot, they expect us to be out of the running anyway. Lets show them how wrong they are

Crap timeslot for Sydney, but will be in prime time in Noo Zeelund.

5.30 Sat is not so bad - much better than the scramble through peak hour traffic that we would have faced on Friday night. Early enough on Sat so all the kiddies can get out to Caylo's final home game.

5.30 aint so bad, least its better than 7.30.

Expect a decent crowd hopefully close to 15,000 which is decent.

If we don't make the finals then this is going to be a historic game. Hopefully we can send Caylo out as a winner.

He should've been a two-time premiership winning captain. But alas for the cheating Storm and some Joey greatness it was not to be. But at least he won a World Cup.

Springbok John Smit played his 100th test for his country vs All Blacks on the weekend. I am told that the pre-game run out went like this:

As the Boks prepared to run out on the ground, they positioned Smit to lead them out. Smit was given the signal and the team moved forward down the tunnel and broke into a light jog onto the grassed surface.

What Smit did not realize was that his teamates stopped at the edge of the sideline and allowed him to stand in the centre of the ground for approx 2 minutes by himself as the crowd to paid tribute. They then ran on to join him

Noice. I hope we do something similar for our captain for his last game.

The boks lost in the dying seconds of that game eh? :)

Youd think something will be done, other than a 5 min tribute on the high definition IMAX screen we have there behind the north terrace stand. I like the idea of a guard of honour by the players, and then Cayless walks on the field with his kids and wife. They are the most important people in his life.
