same intensity this week as we showed against parra and we should come away with a comfortable win

I didnt see any of the game between the Raiders and Gold coast. Is there anyone that we need to single out as a threat? By all accounts they played like a pair of paper pants.........

thoughts?

Canberra at home & Canberra away are two completely different teams. If we show up & play our usual style & apply ourselves in defence we will win. If we go down there thinking its a given two points & forget how to tackle they will towel us.

I don't think Canberra has the ability to towel anyone at this stage. Sure we shouldn't take them too lightly, but they aren't a threat either. Their pack is big, but has shown no grunt at all and their attack is extremely stagnant. Tongue is hopeless at hooker, and McCrone/Herbert are pathetic. Campese firing could bring about some danger, but other than that we should be fine.

Bronson was quietish last night, but has been going well besides that...he'll be up for a big one

being up against his old club should be motivation enough.

That said, aside from Scott Logan, I dont think thier pack offers much. On the fringe is where thier strength is. So long as our inside defenders keep switched on, we should bring home the points.

They've seemed to do a lot of their crucial attacking to the right, usually with Bronson heavily involved. Luckily that's our strong side. They will pump us down in Canberra, like they've done to other sides, if we don't turn up.

Farah seems to have a blinder when he comes down and its the attacking weopons you have which will worry us.
I do think we can make a game of it as our handling has been dismal in all 3 games so far.
We are a totally diffrent side than playing away but against the Broncos we really just hang on and won.
My prediction is tigers by 16-22 with Farah man of the match

Our fringe defender outside of the halves are Ellis, Payten/Fulton, Ayshford and Lawrence. There are no glaring defensive weaknesses there at all.

They could probably hold us in the forwards but I don't think they have enough points in them to beat us.
Travis Waddell being out is a massive loss for them. Tongue is too slow for hooker, don't know who else they have in the club to replace Waddell and give them a bit of spark around the rucks.

Kicking game is ultra important this week. Their fullback is a great player and kick returner. Need to find the open spaces and chase down the field in one line.

Need to contain Bronson as he is causing havic down the left side (defensivly) of the field at the moment.

Score the first 2 trys and we win, they don't come back to well when behind.

interesting stat on NRL Tactics last night.

Past 2 seasons we have been 2/3 and missed the finals

2 years ago when we were 2/3 we lost the next 2 away matches. Those losses were against the raiders and cowboys!

Conversely, if they score first down there, they often romp home. I doubt they'll be able to do it to us as we rarely fail to score during our periods of momentum.

We should smash them, but it's often one of those frustrating games down there, wondering how we managed to lose.

Good win. Lucky not to be down by 30 in first half but showed great attitude to come back, something we have been missing for so many years.

Well done.

i dont think it was our attitude that got us back into it, it was freakish talent. im still very worried about our attitude.

Thier first try i think is was...... Missed tackle on bryce gibbs left shoulder, benjis right. Not sure it was attitude, just a little missed timed

if attitude was lacking, they would have pulled up stumps at half time and tried to work on things for next week....but they didnt, they hung in!

THAT is something we have lacked over the last few years. The application to hang in during the hard times and prosper when the opposition is tired. They keep it up, we will have alot more wins

BTW, thats 2 wins from 3 when we have trailed at halftime. Again, something that we have failed to do in the past
