I didn't see this thread so I originally put this in the rumours thread, but I'll put it in this one too.


How good was that game just now Rabbitohs v Dogs? As for the penalty at the end that saw the Rabbitohs win, it was spot on no matter what those imbeciles in the commentary box had to say. Just because it may have been an accident does not make a charge down that hits a players legs and injures him ok.

It's like saying a forearm to the head is ok because the tackler was aiming for the chest and missed. It is still a penalty no matter what. Jeez those commentators need to learn the rules. Every week they get the fundamentals wrong.

The bit the refs got wrong though was where they allowed the kick to be taken from. I don't know why it would/should make any difference because it was a field goal attempt.

Apparently, that is the rule, so the refs were saying on the field.

That was the most satisfying victory I've experienced for many a year.

dunno ... i think thats the only bit that is questionable .... but the ref said it as if it is a specific rule - they didn't just not realise where it landed

they just showed some more footage of the refs leaving the field ... one of them came within centimetres of getting smashed in the face with a full water bottle - he then fell down dodging it (and apparently did his shoulder)

i can understand the fans being pissed as hell - a bad way to lose .... but you just can't start throwing shit like that .... f**kin merkins

i'm sure there are perfectly good dogs fans - one of my best friends is - and my entire mum's side of the family are (were - some went off em after all their shit some time back) .... but there is still a massive f**kwit factor to their supporter base

I really don't like them as a club .... they were actually my 2nd favourite team as a kid because my mum went for them .... but all the shit they did and their f**kwit fans from a while back totally turned me off em .... they r right up there on my disliked clubs list .... my best mate is a dogs fan - so I try not to hate em too much for that .... but I get a kick out of them losing a game like this

How good was that game just now Rabbitohs v Dogs? As for the penalty at the end that saw the Rabbitohs win, it was spot on no matter what those imbeciles in the commentary box had to say. Just because it may have been an accident does not make a charge down that hits a players legs and injures him ok.

It's like saying a forearm to the head is ok because the tackler was aiming for the chest and missed. It is still a penalty no matter what. Jeez those commentators need to learn the rules. Every week they get the fundamentals wrong.

The bit the refs got wrong though was where they allowed the kick to be taken from. I don't know why it would/should make any difference because it was a field goal attempt.
