All this talk of Bennett having Souths ready for redemption overlooks that it didn’t work after their last smashing, and the last time we lost we bounced back in style. Everyone is discounting BA’s ability to get us up - we haven’t lost back to back regular season fixures in near on 2 years.

another important factor being overlooked is we have a large number players pushing for selection in origin with Fittler stating he’s watching our game with keen eyes
They beat the Sharks the week after their 50 point thrashing by Melbourne.

Souths also have a bunch of players in Origin contention that Fitler and Green will be looking at.

An under 17s team would have won against the sharks. The following game they had 50 against them again.

there’s only 4 at Souths even in contention, and 3 are definite already (Latrell, Cook & Murray). Walker is the only other one with a shot.

we have more players fighting for a position than them

Doesn't matter, they still bounced back.

Gagai and Arrow are also in contention. So that is 6 players in total. And Cook has pressure from Korisau

I think the result will be similar to last years 38-0 drubbing to be honest.

That’s an utterly confusing call for mine. We have the third best attack in the comp, scoring over 30 in 5 of the last 6 games, and they’ve conceded 140 in the last 3 games.

whilst they may score some tries on us, nothing at all points to them not coughing a bunch up themselves

No RCG and the fact our right side defence is appalling which might no be the deal breaker in a lot of games, when you are playing an extremely potent and successful left side attack it may just put the game out of reach and make us panic when chasing points........just like last week.

Like i said earlier, we have the team to beat them.......our history says that we will likely lose in an embarrassing fashion.

Putting the knackers on the line, it’s gonna be a close score and the Eels finishing on top by 2.

Hope I'm wrong but have a feeling we will play 50uffs back into form..
They will deliberately play exclusively down our right and try and expose us which they have successfully done so for the last 3 years
Have you considered that over the past three years we have consistently exposed the opposition's right side defence? Sivo has 47 tries in 57 games. Are we going to give him all the credit for that or recognise it's a team game and that teams attack better to their left? When things go right one person is more likely to stand out. It's no different when things go wrong. When teams allow the opposition a huge overlap it's the edge that is put under pressure. It doesn't mean the edge defenders deserve all the blame any more than Sivo deserves all the credit when we score.

11 of the top 20 try scorers this year are wingers. This includes nuffies like Saab, Taulagi, Staines and George Jennings ffs. They aren't their team's best players; they are scoring because their teams are putting the defence under pressure and the edges is where they break. It's rugby league 101.

Watching 502 on Fox, wasn’t sure the Eels are playing, basically failed to mention them all day. Seems it’s the Rabbits playing someone who they can’t be tossed to mention,it’s in reality a Souffs/Roosters/Storm station.
