Also we could get real lucky and those two could end up on the same side of the finals draw and play each other in the knockout semi. That would leave us in a very good position of playing anyone but them, assuming we have gotten that far, and having a real shot of getting to the Grand Final. Once there who knows, how healthy our opposition might be at that stage and funnier things have happened my friends.

Ah eternal hope. The reason we all get out of bed each morning.

Yeah go back to 2019. Storm and roosters were certainties to make it b2b GF. Then canberra through the whole finals series wide open when they knocked off Melbourne in week 1. It put roosters and storm on same side of the draw. And had to meet in PF. Unfortunately we were the unlucky bastards to play storm week 2.

01 was a bed shitting
09 was more a toddler in toilet training wetting the bed. That year Drags were the bed shitters
'09 was a coaching masterclass from Daniel Anderson to get us to the G.F. People who say we only got there on the back of Hayne are delusional. Anderson got the whole team playing out of their skins - including the likes of Jeff Robson and Daniel Mortimer. In the grand final itself, we were up against the ultimate professionals; but, except for a couple of incidents of very bad luck, we could easily have won that game - and did better against the Storm than any other team that year would have. There was no shitting the bed or capitulating in any way at all. I'm still very, very proud of that team and that effort.

It was a respectable capitulation
