Haha can you imagine. Audio of half a dozen merkins carrying on in the loungeroom broadcast throughout the game.

Actually I reckon it might work if you had a large enough crowd so you can't distinguish individual voices. They were actually talking about it on ABC Radio today, but playing crowd noise at the ground for the players.

I think coronavirus might have been the best thing to happen for captain's challenge. Seems less annoying and should give them time to get used to it. With crowds I could see it getting the flick before being properly tested.
