And here I was thinking you were just hypocritical when you said hiney doesn’t support the club. Did your best friend “David “Thirsty” Morrow” have to wear a raincoat when you drowned him with self-diddling gushes?
Not my BEST friend, but definitely a friend. Good bloke....Calls it as HE sees it.

There is no basis to sticking your neck out for Blake based on this game. His ineffectiveness in hitting and sticking often resulted in metres and momentum shifts for Penrith.

The try to Hosking was clearly not Blake’s fault but to defend his contact is laughable.

He is lacking confidence because the ability is there somewhere. He’s an absolute specimen. It’s a shame that we haven’t been able to unlock his potential, because the coaching staff have been marvels for many recruits over BA’s tenure.

When he was at Penrith I used to hate seeing him in their colours because he’d always carve us up.

14 isn’t a position, mate. You’ll note Hands wore 15 last night. My point here is that the bench is horses for courses. No doubt Hands (a specialist dummy half) is a better dummy half than Arthur (a specialist halfback). But there is no rule saying you need a specialist dummy half on the bench. Hands came into the team when we needed him and no sooner. No doubt we needed Arthur on the bench last year, for different reasons.

If you’re cynical about those reasons, I’d suggest they still apply this year. Jake Arthur is still the coach’s son, and his last game in first grade was as a grand final try scorer. He is also carving up in reserve grade once again, so his form warrants selection at least as much as it did last time he was picked on the bench.

All this means that your bad faith ‘analysis’ of the coach’s motives has been completely debunked, and that you have in fact been revealed as the troll here Sir.
Want to talk about bad faith analysis?

I would say the premise of your post is itself a bad faith proposition for the following reasons:

1) 14 refers to the utility/dummy half position on the bench - you know this but in true Pou fashion you take your little pot shot to undermine the position of others with semantics;

2) we needed a utility last year and we need one this year - Hands should have been the guy last year and many called for it, including myself - his form in lower grades was not much different last year to this year. The fact is that he has always been a guy capable of giving capable relief as a utility;

3) So what if jake is "carving" in reserve grade? When has he ever provided a performance as a utility like Hands did the other night? Every performance Jake has had is mediocre at best and poor in the main.

Nothing has been debunked - if anything, the performance of Hands on Thursday has shown that the critics of BA's bench policy for the past year have been proven correct - he wasted a bench spot on his son when there was at least one better option right under his nose all along!

I don't expect you to admit that because you have never argued anything on here in good faith whatsoever - you just adopt a contrary position to troll. I don't know why, but I'm sure it must provide you with some satisfaction - and if it does, good luck to you.

The fact is that most Parra fans (note I said "most", fear not as I don't include you with the proles) have seen that there are better options on the bench than JA for quite some time - and it was proven the other night.
