They are overachieving. They don’t have the team to compete when it really matters. Cleary is safe rather than a match winner.

You think him and Luai have hit their peak already?
It's possible they are on a downhill spiral.

The Panthers have some weaknesses like most teams, but they are capable of beating any team if they play their best game and any of the top 3-4 sides including the Roosters, Storm or us are slightly down on the day.

They are not to be dismissed by any stretch. They just need the game to go slightly their way and they are more then a shot and on any given Sunday who really knows how the ball will bounce or what the referee will see?

Disagree.
Field was given a job to do. He allowed Brown to run the show, and he did his own thing when he got the ball. When he did, he did his best for the team.
Give him a f**king break.
1st game for the Eels. He did what he had to do. And he did it well enough.
He's not my style of halfback, but he covered a job when we needed someone to fill in.
And let's not forget, not only was it his first game for us, it was only his 12th NRL game in total (and only his 5th starting game). As you said Suity, he did his job (we did win by 38 points after all).

For the record, I, myself, wasn't having a go at Jai Field; I was just offering my opinions on his game.

I didn't expect the world - a 23-year old, who hasn't played in a while, coming into a red-hot side...the odds were sort of stacked against him.

But I was pleasantly surprised - he made the odd error here and there (in terms of both rushing a poor kick, or misreading the attack while in defence), but overall, he brought energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved.

I thought Jai Field acquitted himself quite well, and the only way is up for him.

Once Moses is back, we may even see Field in the 14 jersey - who knows?

And how good is Field's speed? He's electric!

Yep. BA left Field to tackle what’s in front of him and run at or go find gaps with his speed.

Ignore his name, just look at his + stats for the game. Any half would be happy with these.

118m running m
9 tackle breaks
1 line break
17 tackles
1 1v1 tackle
3 kicks for 80 m

what about his 1 f**king try you merkin?!

Also good to see Blake get involved and go looking for the ball.
Still arm grabbing in defence too much and that's why his side leaks the majority of tries against us. Also why Fergo doesn't stay on his winger and comes inside to help him out. If I was the coach I'd ask Fergo to stay on his winger and only defend inside when they are outnumbered.

Blake doesn't seem to like defending front on. He likes to come in and blind side merkins or alternatively let them get outside him and then use the sideline. Big plays are nice but not the safest option. I agree Ferguson should trust him more though. In most cases Blake has his man covered on the outside. He doesn't need help.

I didn't mean he was terrible and i'm glad we won his first game.
