.
AUSTRALIA’S national rugby league side and New Zealand’s champion rugby union team could clash in a hybrid supergame, according to a report by the Daily Telegraph.
According to the report, plans are underway to organise a supermatch between the Kangaroos and the All Blacks which could take place in 2019.

Hybrid Rugby is the group pushing for the rugby supergame and chairman Phil Franks has already contacted New Zealand Rugby Union and the Australian Rugby League to propose his idea.

The All Blacks are said to be interested, and have already put forward possible dates on which the game could take place.

It’s believed the match could be played in Tokyo after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The Daily Telegraph report claims Hybrid Rugby has ball-parked a figured of $50 million in profit from the venture, with both the Kangaroos and the All Blacks likely to be paid $10 million each for taking part.
