It cheapens the game - how good are the players going to feel, or the families when they watch the recorded or live match ?
BTW, I get and appreciate Reg humour, just don't think it's suitable for calling matches on mainstream. Just because Roy and HG get away with it, remember it's JJJ, not the people that bring you the footy show (low common denominator).
Would the AFL or Union do it ?

The only people who care about it are the players and the coaches (and that's fair enough) and people whose teams didn't make the real big one. I know I was hoping Newie's Flegg team qualified, just so I'd have something to cheer today.
Stupid comment, these are the players of the future and it's "who cares"?
Not shocked, you do follow Newcastle and their side for next year will have an average age of 30.
Or is it just because the Eels thrashed Newcastle in Finals week 1?

If it's so 'huge' in your eyes (and being a Parramatta fan, I guess it means something extra special to you - since the two lower grades are all ya'll are a chance of winning anytime soon), why was the crowd so small and quiet? I doubt the ratings for the whole thing were any good either.
It matters to the players, as I said, but then - so does the match between the two high schools. Doesn't mean we're supposed to treat it like it's some momentous event.

I hope you were enjoying your wooden spoon while you were typing that, I guess you did win more than us this year.
