meaning.........."change (something) so much that it appears to be entirely new"

Do you think that while we on these forums.......we feed off all the media negativity and fuel our anger towards the Dragons board and management........ that Flano and Young are using this petrol to create an inferno of "f**k them, we will show you" with the players ?

Some of the best teams of the modern era like Melbourne and Qld SOO without doubt gathered the vitriol, the bitter criticism, fury and malice and like any great alchemist turned shit into gold.

The sharks had that edge and venom to them also in 2016

Is it possible..........that we have found the lowest ebb and the tide is turning ?

or is it possible this will bethe first post in 20 years that has no comment :) ?

It has to be better , right ? If Flanno is left to do his job , and I don't care how he does it ( without any interference from the drop kicks at the club ) I think the tide has to turn our way then slowly in a few year it will become a tsunami in our favour .......

This club has been 'unmade' in persistent and unbelievable ways during my lifetime. When I was a kid the St George Dragons was one of the greatest sporting teams in the world. The brand was world famous and most of the players were icons.

I witnessed the insane commercialisation rubbish that was the 'Super League' and the miserable merger nonsense that was forced upon us, followed by the contraction and re-expansion of the competition. I recall saying to my wife back then that mindlessly messing-about with such an iconic and historic brand was beyond idiotic and would do nothing but harm.

Rugby League is tribal. It's an incredible game and a wonderful competition. It's an organic thing. Trying to dig it up and transplant it will only weaken it and, potentially, kill it.

What this club needs to do is to restore itself. Go back to being known, and marketed solely as the St George Dragons - representing both the St George and Illawarra regions, market the Red V and the Dragon badge - those amazing brands - and absolutely pump-up its supporters. We can be, and should be, a powerhouse, an iconic and famous sports club once again.

And get back to being winners and an admirable and justifiably very proud club.

Well after this year when the main sponsorship ends with the St George Bank, poor happy green dragon will no longer be our mascot - I don't think. We might have a guy dressed up like a Squadron Leader running the gauntlet instead.

Green Lantern? And get Ryan Reynolds to buy the club as it least he knows how to win with his soccer club
Yes, this movie star has not only got talent in the acting roles he plays but has a brilliant business mind together with his actress wife Blake Lively. Both have businesses that are bringing in good income. It would be an absolute joy to have someone like Ryan Reynolds having a say and business interest in our club.

Sad day when Happy is retired. He's a household name at the club.

Awarding try's, scooting around and the kids love him.
