Continue to live in your dream

Wont be long before you can return to the Qld Cup dream
If you think ARL had the best players in 1997 then you're just a biased and deluded NSWRL fan.

The 1986 Wynnum Manly team had four Australian internationals in it. That's about as stacked as it gets. Manly and Newcastle from 1987 weren't on the same level.

Penrith just had every player in its top 17 squad picked for an international side, all of them except for Clive Churchill winner Dylan Edwards... now thats a stacked team...
Even had Staines, and Turuva, get picked too.. they are outside that 17... so not sure why you need to bring up some BRL team in the 80s..
Hell the Canberra team of '89-91 was completely stacked with internationals too

Looking forward to the day we see the battle of the Seagulls

When the Broncos, Cowboys, Dolphins, Storm & Titans revert to Qld Cup

And we run two comps again

Except all the Sydney clubs will be in one comp this time

Those pokie clubs put very little of the revenue into the nrl club, a fraction of what some clubs earn in other areas.
I find it scary how 1 in 5 of all pokies in the world are in Australia. What's scarier is over half of Australia's pokies are in the Greater Sydney region. The irony of this mess is people's addiction to gambling has made the NSWRL clubs dependent upon gaming machines for survival. It's a case of two doomed parties feeding off one another.

Why aren't the Sydney clubs sending club representatives over to China, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore to advertise their Leagues Clubs to the large gambling communities in those countries?

Promote the football clubs alongside the Leagues Clubs to draw in tourists who might become casual fans from abroad.
