Review : what to do

1. Can the coach get up and face the players again, will they look and not believe as a unit they will get over the line after another 12 months
2. Do we need to ensure the new baby eels are fast tracked, ie Williams for Burt etc
3. Can we get by without a quality 5/8?
4. Are we panicking. 1 bad display after a few at the start of the season, how do we evaluate it.
5. Widders and Morris saved their worst for the past 2 games, is that why we looked so short of ideas.

I guess we dont have all the answers, but we need to search for them, I am shattered after that effort today....

They shut down everything we had, and we killed ourselves with all that dropped ball. They played a tight compact defence up the middle and we had nowhere to run, no 2nd phase play. All credit to Cowboys they wrapped up everything we had.

I still think Williams will have to wait his time. Burt will be here next season, but who knows what can happen. Williams played really well in Prems and scored a damn good try.

Morris has succedded allmy expectations of him at 5/8 but when the pressure is on,he simply cracked.

We came out found ourselves playing catchup and panicked. Ill put it down to it being elimination where all year we have based our game on aggression (didnt have), 2nd phase play (didnt have) etc etc

Definately shattered but I guess I didnt expect to be there at all, so I enjoyed it while it lasted.

Morris? he was poor but Tim and Ben Smith were worse, as were Wagon and Chad Robinson. Wagon should be sacked for racing up on Bowen.


As for the Smiths, I won't be too harsh on them after such a great year but they simply cracked. Took some woeful options. The kick for Grothe to almost score was a shocking option. Put it through the hands and they score.

He does do it quite a bit.

But how often does he do it on someone like Matt Bowen, 10 out from our own line?

How about this drastic solution

Get rid of all the coaching staff & most of the players & keep only the following players from the top 17. The players I will keep are the young players & the consistent performers. These are

1. Guru
2. T Smith
3. Hindy
4. Tahu


How drastic is that. Im only joking of course but sometimes I feel like this is the only way
