The RFLExecutive Director of Rugby Greg McCallum has confirmed that thegames central contract agency, Club Great Britain, has made an enhanced package offer to Wigan Warriorsâ Kris Radlinski. Club Great Britain, the organisation jointly supported by the RFL and Super League Europe Limited to fund improved contract offers for players wanted by other sports, have approached Radlinski directly with the full knowledge of his clubâs management.
Radlinski is one of the under-contract players identified as being integral to the aspirations of the Great Britain team.
The body was first utilised to successfully retain Keiron Cunningham within Rugby League and Radlinski is the second player to be the subject of action by Club Great Britain.
McCallum said: âWe have spoken to Kris and made an offer to him. Now we are waiting to hear from him and remain optimistic that we can keep him within our sportâ.
No financial details of the package offered to Radlinski will be made public and neither the Rugby Football League nor Wigan Warriors are prepared to discuss this element of the offer to the player.
