Russell Richardson today signed a three year deal with the Rabbitohs. He was offered contracts by both Canberra and some ESL clubs but chose to be part of the new breed of rabbitohs. Oh well, Canberra misses out on another quality player because of a poor record and a dickhead coach. Wooden spooners for sure.

Well we are glad to have him. What's Collela like? I don't get to watch much league (will be getting Foxtel soon) down here in Melbourne so I have no real idea.

Colella is a pretty useful player. He is a strong runner for his size and breaks the line often. He is one of the Raiders most consistent performers and rarely puts in a badeffort.
Since he is only 25 you should get a few good years out of him, although he is injury prone. Everyone in Canberra will be sad to see him leave as he was a real crowd favourite.

Souths are building a pretty good team in my opinion. Even though alot of the young blokes are going to struggle at times overall I think they have enough to avoid the spoon. I dont think they will be far behind the Tigers, Raiders , Cowboys, Eagles (or whoever they are) etc next year.

If I was them I would try and pickup Luke Phillips andShane Walker. They are two cheapish quality players in positions theycould strengthen.
