Can u believe this guy is the NSW origin coach from next year!

It looks like if u arent in Roosters or Dragons colours you dont get a look in at rep levels for anything.

Surely there are better candidates than this bloke.

Whats everyones thoughts on this?

I don't think there really is any problem with him becoming the coach after all over the last 2 1/2 seasons he has been the most consistant coaches in the comp so I think it was a good chioce.

Good Point but even Paul Langmack could do the same with the crop of players and budget that he has

Ha, i think it's a great choice. As has been said, his form speaks for itself. Being in Rooster or Dragons colours don't mean a thing. The coach before Gould was the Wests Tigers coach. I think Sticky will be perfect for Origin, an intense man who demands the best from his troops, and they only have to deliver it 3 times.

with city/country duties it was obvious to me he was being groomed for the spot

in fact I think I remarked to someone about it at the time

Well its obvious the NSWRL aren't too concerned about recovering any lost support that may have occurred after the boys shenanigans, with the appointment of Stuart.
He will have the Roosters at heart though....any blue roosters he has will be looked after.
His appointment makes origin even less appealing to me now.

I don't like Stuart but he's a quality coach.

Its easy to say that 'anyone could have done as well with the players he's got' but the roosters had been trying to buy a premiership for 20 years and it took Stuart to do what the other coaches couldn't and get them there.

In my mind he was the obvious candidate

Why does anyone think Stuart will select any more roosters than Gould already does?

Brett Finch will probably be the NSW halfback next year.

And if he did and the Wests Tigers where selected to play the Roosters would you then complain ???

Yes, because I spoort NSW.

If we want to confirm ourselves as an up and coming team and earn more respect, then we need to play full strength teams.

And you mean to tell me if 1 more roosters player plays for them then we would gain more respect ???

I think after the city vs country game when the only Roosters player to have been selected was Cusak that would give you some sort of indication especially considering that he was hardly involved and it was clear that Stuart was saving him up for the Tigers game

On Finch he has actually probably been the most in form half back this season and the most consistant!

I doubt he would even get selected for City vs Country let alone for SOO

ricky is a pain in the butt-he also is a pretty good coach--the word is the players like him--he is hard man--I think he is a far greater coach than gus the gob-I also think he has runs on the board-where loza is untried---but really at this level, the birchgrove c grade coach could do it
