RLEF Membership..

I can understand how England and France are full members, but why is Russia when Ireland and Wales are Associate members only...??

Are Russia attending meetings of the RLEF when by and large their domestic comp has imploded..??

Can anyone clarify...??

It's a historical thing from when the RLEF was set up, it was a joint venture between the RFL, French and Russian Federations, they all had pro competitions and were the strongest governing bodies. I don't think it really means anything anymore.

Plus it was the RFL, FFRXIII and RRL that were putting money into the RLEF and RLIF, hence why they were the full members.

But as said, now it does not really mean anything.
