RLIF Confederations Cup

So does anyone understand what the Conferederations Cup will be that was discussed at the RLUF board meeting

I have seen comments of rebadged 4 Nations

There have been talk of 6 or 8 teams

Anyone got any more information

i would think it will be 2 competitions, one for the teams in the rlef (europe/africa/the americas) and one for the aprlc (asia/pacific). basically the european cup (+full england team) and the pacific cup (+kiwis/kangaroos). they are the 2 confederations of the rlif

They could have there own conference, maybe add Lebanon and other invitational countries.

Didn't they announce Conferences as being the pathway to the RLWC?
Eg MENA fir Middle East Nth Africa (similar?) for Lebanon, Sth Africa, Nigeria; etc?

Ok thanks, I think it is these "new" confederations that they are referring to for this new Cup - rather than just the RLEF & APRLF.

Pk if we continue the confederation idea

Today we have
- Europe
- Asia-Pacific
- Middle East & Africa
- Americas

That's 4 teams
- England
- Australia
- Lebanon
- USA

now Pacific would have to supply 2 teams so that NZ could play

And you suggest Europe would have 2 teams

Unless the big 3 don't participate

If there's 8 teams I'd invite the big 3 plus 2 sides each from Europe and Pacific then let the Middle East/Africa and Americas champions play off for the last place

Is there any chance that we will actually see a NH and SH confederation cup played at the same time, and then in the off year we have England tour SH or Aus/NZ tour NH.

So:
Eng, France, Scotland, Ireland
Aus, NZ, Samoa, Fiji

Promotion and relegation within each confederation.

Or...

Will we see NH and SH confederation Cups with the winner joining, Aus, NZ and England?

as usual RL fans manage to completely over complicate i really simple comp lol

the confederation cup with feature the big 3 plus either 3 or 5 teams to form either a 6 or 8 team comp..

the year before the comp we may well see somekind of qualifying games to find the 3 or 5 teams....

Well the title "confederation cup" tends to go with the idea that it will be a cup featuring members of the confederation. Not Confederations. Not RLIF.

all the african,middle east & north american nations come under the RLEF
