Australia reclaim 1st place obviously and Scotland jump about 5 places up to 4th after 2 floggings and a draw. Classic.

I'm not going to go too in-depth in my analysis of the rankings because clearly they are ridiculous, but one thing I couldn't help but mention is South Africa being above Nuie after Nuie beat them twice convincingly in probably the only games they played. Although South Africa may have also played Lebanon but also lost then too. Having said that it's still harsh South Africa is behind the likes of Sweden and Netherlands.

Until every nation plays 6 odd games a year, against both higher and lower ranked opposition, they can't really be taken seriously. Top 3 are the only ones with any semblance of reason.

PNG is closer to 5th than 15th in reality but never seems to play any games

Instead of being based on points they should be done like Boxing's only respected rankings that being those of Ring Magazine.They use a panel that is guided by recent performance & strength of opponent but it's mostly gut feel & opinion.Here is what my top 25 would look like if all teams are at full strength.Just ask yourself,2 out of 3 times,who wins a match between opponents?
