Hey forty/20. What are tanginoa's chances of first grade this year?
Doing himself little harm over the first three rounds of the ISP. Playing massive minutes, upped his work rate significantly and is coming up with big plays consistently (in the context of his position).
The only real negative against him is that he still falls into a 'tweener' billing. Is he an edge backrower or a prop in the NRL? He covers both roles for Wenty in 2016 but most importantly he has defended on the edge pretty well which leans me towards edge forward.
I think it is quite close between Kelepi and Gower for our best first-drop backrower based on 2016 form. Gower has the advantage in NRL experience and an almost certain Top 25 spot though, both of which are pretty big obstacles as far as the depth chart goes.
If two spots were to open up in the backrow (or Gower himself got injured), say around Origin when Scott is playing for NSW and someone else is injured/suspended I imagine Tanginoa is the next man up.
