I never said he was better than Farah.
He has played better in his limited opportunities than a handful of players have played all year, so I think your a fair way off the mark.
I also gather the other hooker you were referring to was Morris, who when playing hooker was one of the better players in the side week after week.
I never said you did either. You said Flanagan will "tear us a new one", which leads to the obvious question, do you rate him higher than our incumbent? He's ordinary. His defence is below standard for a first grade hooker and his decisions were often poor. I don't think he's useless, just the assertion that he'll tear us a new one is laughable.
And on Morris, making 40 tackles a game and one or two quick darts from dummy half when there's no markers/they're off-side didn't make him one of the better players in the side. Morris didn't (and doesn't when he plays hooker) get his forwards over the advantage line. He has no variety to his running game (whether that's at hooker or half). His passes weren't crisp or well-timed and often forced the player to stop/stutter to catch the ball. He's an athlete not a footballer and as I said, calling him ordinary is being generous. He's a utility bench player and that's all. Signing him to play half-back is singularly the worst decision this club has ever made and continuing to play him there, and regularly starting him in other positions like hooker and 5/8, is just compounding the error. He tries his best and that's great, but it's not good enough.
