Been to a few clubs and is one hard, mean player. Can get reported though but has a lot of talent. Played in a challenge cup final a few years ago.

I wish he was still with the Jets, I have a lot of time for him.

Wasn't this guy arrested along with Wes Patten trying to steal a cigarette machine a few years ago?

From the Daily Telegraph - December 20, 2000:
Former Dragon players and cousins, Wes Patten and Robbie Simpson were arrested outside Simeon's cafe, Botany early this morning. They were charged with aggravated break and enter along with 2 other men, Lindsay Munro and Wayne Carr. The four men were allegedly caught stealing a Wurlitzer vending machine. Patten, 26 was also charged with supplying the illegal drug, ecstasy while Simpson, 25 was also charged with driving while disqualified. Magistrate Brian Moloney noted that he was aware of Patten's criminal history and said that Patten "...shows a lack of respect" before granting each man $2000 bail to be lodged by an "acceptable person".
Munro, who the Magistrate had earlier described as "a crime waiting to happen" was the only man able to raise bail.
Patten, Simpson and Carr were all taken to Silverwater Jail where they will remain over Xmas and into the New Year, the matter being adjourned until 9th January.
FFS, that means Simpson is 30 this year. What the hell are we doing signing him?

I played 16's & 18's against him. in Group 20. had a heap of talent, way too much aggression & the wrong people around him.

Wasn't this guy arrested along with Wes Patten trying to steal a cigarette machine a few years ago? That is not surprising.

I hope he can play 5/8. Did as a junior on the odd occasion but not at that level. Not a chance. Player two or three season with the Dragons as a bench backrower. Behaved himself but didn't set the world on fire.

He also played in a challenge cup final at Wembley, and despite his size is one of the toughest players running around. Can get reported a bit too much though. I wish he was still with the Jets.

and we need a 5/8 why???

We have one of the best young talents this competition has to offer, just because our coach is scared that he is too small.

Soward is our future, we dont need old men.

Yeah that Simpson signing really helped you guys lure Mundine!!!!

Mundine was just stringing your arse clown management along, he was never going to return to league, he just gave that pudgy little bloke Weidler something to write about.

Robbie SIMPSON is a good player. He played for the Jets quite a bit ( when not suspended etc ), and has a heap of talent, and knows where the try line is.

He played for Roosters reserve grade last week when they killed the Bears at Henson Park prior to the Jets versus St George match. He came off the bench and went alright.

Played for St George last season though, and although in reserves for most of the season had some runs in 1st grade where he held is own.

Come and watch the Roosters play Newtwon at Henson Park next Saturday. The game kicks off at 3pm, ( although the Jets play the entrance in Jim Beam cup at 1.15pm ).
You will get a chance to see how he goes yourselves, alongside Brett FIRMAN, WALKER etc.

This is set to be the game of the Premier league calender thus far, with second placed Jets against you guys ( who are currently right behind us on the ladder in third ). Although your for and against is better than ours, we are two points ahead.

Will be a great day out for all footy fans. Come and have a cold one and a steak roll at the BBQ whilst watching some top quality football at Henson. Entry is only $7.00. You can drive your car into the ground, or get a train to Sydenham, and it is only a short walk from there to the ground.
