Read on goal.com that Roberto Carlos is gaining Spanish citizenship and will become a Spanish citizin in December, by doing that does that mean he will still be allowed to play for Brazil or would be eligble for Spain?

By doing so, he becomes an EU player and Real Madrid will be able to dip into the January transfer market and buy who ever they want.

He won't be allowed to play for Spain, since Brazil has already capped him.
The only reason for him to do so is to free up a space for a non-EU player, as their already on the borderline for foreigners.
