What a start by 2 of the best young QB's in pro football today.

5 mins from halftime, both have looked brilliant showing the poise, accuaracy and arm strength that will see these 2 behind centre for a long, long time in the respective teams.

Roethlisberger: 5/6 - 107yds - 2TDs - 0INTs plus 2 rushes - 20yds

Leftwich: 5/8 - 64yds - 1TD - 0INTs plus 1 rush - 4yds

Unfortunately, I will miss the 2nd half and what is going to be a top game.

Roethlisberger is going for his 10th WIN in a row, yet to lose a career game in the NFL! Unbelievable simply put.

Stay tuned I say... ;-)

10 wins in a row for the NFL Rookie of The Year Ben Roethlisberger. This is a NFL record that will stand for some time I assure you of that, simply amazing and all in the same year when Peyton Manning rewrites history for a single season record for a QB.

Roethlisberger finished with:

14/17- 221yds - 2TDs - 0INTs & 3 rushes - 40yds

Leftwich finished with:

16/27- 268yds - 1TD - 0INTs & 1 rush - 4 yds

Pittsburgh 17 - Jacksonville 16

What a game this would of been in the end...!

"Solid, yet not spectacular"...IMO, still sounds kinda silly when discussing this rookie QB.

60 yard field goal from Jacksonville goes just right on full time. Amazing!

Both these guys certainly had a better weekend then Plummer,Favre and Vick....

Fantastic drive from Burger to win it in the end.... why doesn't he pass it more often?? For the first time in many weeks, the Steelers running game was being shut down....

Stand out performances of the weekend for me were Carson Palmer and Mcnab...

Have to agree, Carson Palmer played his best NFL game defeating a Baltimore team that led at one stage 20-3 and McNabb was awesome yet again. If Manning was having a 'normal' Manning season (which is spectacular in itself anyway), McNabb would be being sprouted as a standout MVP candidate.

Don't forget Drew Brees. Im a fan of given credit to stand-out performers when absolutely NOTHING weas expected. The Colts and Manning were always going to be good (o.k. maybe we didnt know this good but anyway). The Eagles and McNabb were always going to win the NFC. But the Chargers were again expected to be cellar dwellers and Brees was tipped to lose his starting spot to Rivers pretty quickly. So considering those circumstances in San Diego i think its been an absolutely incredible performance from Brees to have the Chargers almost in the play-offs already.

So Brees would be my second favourite although i'd love to see him win the MVP.
