Roos named: Wing, Bailey centres

From the AP:

Three players – Michael DeVere, Matt Sing and Richard Villasanti – have been dropped from the side which lost the Test to New Zealand two weeks ago.

Darren Lockyer (c), Shannon Hegarty, Craig Wing, Phil Bailey, Anthony Minichiello, Craig Gower, Brett Kimmorley, Shane Webcke, Danny Buderus, Robbie Kearns, Craig Fitzgibbon, Steve Simpson, Luke Ricketson. Interchange: Petero Civoniceva, Trent Waterhouse, Willie Mason, Michael Crocker.

Phil Bailey and Craig Wing - are they really Australia's best two centres at the moment?

I've got no problems with this. The Poms have some big backs e.g. Senior, Sculthorpe, etc. Bailey could be just the bloke to handle them.
Wing has plenty of thrust and penetration - more than DeVere for mine.
IMO Hegarty and Minichiello offer more than Sing. And Villasanti has been a bit of a disappointment so far, for mine.
Congratulations to Phil Bailey on selection in the run on side. Another run on rep Sharkie, you little beauty! Oooops! Hang on there, Popper. I bet Blacktip's missuss is running outta the house to avoid the temper tantrums over this. Shame on you, Popper. You shoulda kept your big trap shut. I'm sorry, Mrs. Blacktip. :(

Hey, with no DeVere and if Fitzgibbons gets injured, that could make Noddy the main goalkicker    and then he could come back as top pointscorer on tour. Another record. You beaut! :D

I think that Michael Crocker would kick ahead of Kimmorley.

I think they would just kick the ball dead. Like when in the U7's & we played on the full sized field. The shots from touch were a bit beyond us.

I'd punt Mason & Hegarty, moving Wing to the bench and Lewis in the Centres, and Sing on the wing.

That side has the balance of a one legged blind man on a vaseline coated tightrope.

No backs on the bench. Players in makeshift possies. Too many chiefs, BK, CG and CW next to each other.

Worries me as an Oz fan

England by 12.

I'm surprised you didn't opt for a 20-20 draw... 8)

In all seriousness though, it's one of the weirdest teams I've seen. Guess it didn't help that none of the selected wingers or centres are in good form. Nice to see Bails get a start though.

LOL LOL

Nuh that's a reserved superstition.

I reckon I can ditch it now though :)
