It’s a pretty good draw IMO. The thing that is most obvious with the draw is the high amount of home games at the beginning of the season with 6 out of our first 8 making it imperative we start the season well.

Our byes are more spaced than they have been for a while with 5 games between the 2 which is about the best we can hope for under the current set up.

Our home average could and should be over 20k by round 6 with home games against Souths, Broncos, Eels (Easter Monday) and of course the bulldogs. Hopefully we have a decent season otherwise we could see some bad crowds at the end of the year with our last 3 home games being against the Sharks, Raiders and Titans.

We don’t have a home game against Wests which I find odd as surely they would be in our top 4 in terms of who we want to play at home. They have done us a favour though and have strangely decided to host their game against us at the SFS.

As far as the first 20 round scheduling goes I think we have done pretty well with 4 Friday night games (2 home and 2 away). We have 2 home Monday night games but one is Easter Monday against the Eels so I expect a decent crowd for that.

We only have 3 Sunday home games with 1 being a night game. I know that will disappoint some but on a personal level it suits me.

As mentioned earlier we finally get to host the Eels for once but I am disappointed with yet again being shafted from Brisbane and no away game to Titans next year means no exposure in the SE QLD market.

I see we play the 'dogs at home round 6. That should tick off many of their supporters. I think they would get a better crowd for round 4 if they made it a 3 pm match.

Glad our game against Souths will kick the season off again – the way it should alway be. I like the idea of it being a Thursday night and hope the novelty of it brings a big crowd in. Will definitely take the Friday off and make a big night of it. I'm looking at you Lambretta!

Solid draw, will hopefully head to a few games. The game at Parra looks the goods.

So we start with Souths (Rd 1) and end with Souths (Rd 26). Cool. Start and finish the season with a win! :)

I'll definitely be at the Rd 5 game vs Raiders in Canberra, Sunday night.

I think the overall draw is reasonable for us, but as others have said it is dissapointing we have no game in SE Qld.
