The Sydney Roosters’ future looks bright as the club’s lower grade sides continue to carve up the competition in the race to the finals.
The first grade side may have struggled this season, but the same can’t be said for both the Flegg and Premier League sides that have gone from strength to strength in 2006.
With one round to play, the Roosters are poised to win its 12th Flowers Memorial Pennant awarded to the team that tops the NSWRL Club Championship ladder.
Newcastle are the Tricolours closest challengers, but a bye to the Novocastrians in Round 26 ensures the Roosters will win the prestigious title last won by the club in 2004.
Both the Flegg and Premier League sides sit outright second on their respective ladders and are shaping as real Premiership contenders in 2006.
It’s a wonderful achievement for the club and something the Roosters will no doubt build momentum off in the lead up to 2007.
It is clear the Roosters have the playing personnel on board to make next year’s 100th season a memorable one and the wealth of talent available to make sure that success continues long into the future.

I smell another 10 years of the transit lounge just around the corner.

I can't - the blooding of juniors over the past year and a bit has been gradual and has led to players like Solo, Plumb, Shillington, Lewis, Soward all pressing for first grade next year. I don't know about a transit ounge when we are keeping the best of them and will continue to develop them. The transit lounge goes to Souths and they have a lot to do before they throw off the tag.

Hope your right, I'm starting to see big similarities between us and the Manly grand final team of 95-97 that didn't perform again for 10 years...hopefully Soward and Lewis will be regular first graders, with Anasta in lock or something.
